Common questions

What free education resources does Ancourage Academy offer?
Ancourage Academy offers free Singapore education resources: a 89-term education glossary; four reference datasets — secondary school cut-off points (PSLE score ranges by Posting Group for all 139 schools posted in the 2025 S1 Posting Exercise), JC & MI cut-off points, primary-to-secondary school affiliation, and key MOE/SEAB dates (school terms, national-exam results, DSA and Polytechnic EAE) — with both cut-off datasets taken from MOE SchoolFinder and the last three each downloadable as CSV; and admission calculators for PSLE Score (AL), JC admission (L1R5 / L1R4), polytechnic ELR2B2, and A-Level UAS. Everything is free to use, with no sign-up.
What is the difference between the Tools and Resources pages?
The Tools hub is calculator-first: the PSLE (AL), JC (L1R5 / L1R4), polytechnic (ELR2B2) and A-Level (UAS) calculators, plus the JC & MI cut-off points table. The Resources hub is broader: it brings those together with the education glossary, the secondary school cut-off points dataset (PSLE score ranges by Posting Group), the primary-to-secondary school affiliation dataset and key MOE/SEAB dates, so you can work out scores, look up cut-offs and dates, and check definitions in one place.
Are these official MOE resources?
No. They are compiled by Ancourage Academy using official MOE Achievement Level bands, the SEC / Full Subject-Based Banding framework, and MOE SchoolFinder data, plus the University Admission Score (UAS) structure NUS publishes for the A-Level calculator — NUS sets out the 70-point structure, but no university, MOE or SEAB publishes the per-grade rank points, so those are cross-checked against school-published copies. They mirror the published figures so results stay consistent, but always cross-check current admissions information against MOE and the universities.
