Ancourage Academy is hiring part-time and full-time tutors and Art instructors at our Bishan and Woodlands centres. Teach Mathematics, English, Science, Chinese or Art — from Primary to JC and IB — in small groups of 3-6, with flexible hours and full training in our ESB teaching method. Experienced educators and capable graduates are equally welcome.

Flexible part-time hours
Most lessons run on weekday evenings and weekends, so part-time and flexible arrangements are the norm. Pick the slots that fit around your studies, family or other work.
Two MRT-linked centres
Teach at our Bishan centre, or at Woodlands (Vista Point, beside Woodlands South MRT). An easy commute either way, and you can choose the centre that suits you.
Small groups of 3-6

Training & materials provided
Structured onboarding in our ESB method (Ebbinghaus spaced repetition, Socratic questioning, Bruner scaffolding) plus ready-to-use lesson materials. New to tutoring? We'll get you started.

Do I need prior teaching experience to tutor here?
No. Strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in helping students matter most. We provide structured training in our ESB teaching method and ready-made lesson materials, so capable graduates and undergraduates can start with confidence. Prior tuition-centre experience is a plus, not a requirement.
Is this part-time or full-time, and what are the hours?
Both. Most tutoring happens on weekday evenings and weekends, so part-time and flexible arrangements are common and you can choose slots that fit your schedule. Full-time and freelance options are available too. Just tell us your availability when you message us.
Which subjects and levels are you hiring tutors for?
Mathematics, English, Science and Chinese from Primary through Secondary (O-Level / SEC) to JC and IB, plus Higher Chinese. Art by Ancourage also hires Art instructors for drawing, painting, digital art and DSA portfolio coaching.
Where are the centres located?
We have two centres: one in Bishan, and one at Vista Point in Woodlands, beside Woodlands South MRT (TE3) and near Causeway Point. You can teach at either, depending on your role and availability.
How do I become a tutor at Ancourage Academy, and how do I apply?
Message us on WhatsApp with the subject(s) and levels you would like to teach and your availability. We will arrange a short chat, and shortlisted tutors do a brief trial lesson so we can see your teaching style. There is no long online form to fill in.
Can MOE or current school teachers tutor part-time?
We welcome qualified educators, including ex-MOE teachers. If you are currently employed by MOE, you must get prior approval from MOE or your school before taking on any paid private tuition, so please make sure you have the necessary clearance before applying.
