In Singapore, we teach DeepSeek in 3 of our topic workshops, open to Students (Secondary / JC) and Working Adults & Professionals. Each is a 2-hour, small-group, hands-on session at our Bishan or Woodlands centre or live online, and every topic is listed below with what you will do in it.
What it is. DeepSeek is an AI assistant from the Chinese AI company DeepSeek, known for strong reasoning at low cost and for handling Chinese well. You ask in plain language and it helps you explain, write, analyse and solve problems.
Who it's for. Anyone who wants a capable, low-cost AI assistant or who works across English and Chinese — students, professionals, and the simply curious. We also show how DeepSeek compares with ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude so you can choose well.
How DeepSeek compares. DeepSeek is made by the Chinese AI company DeepSeek, where ChatGPT comes from OpenAI and Gemini from Google. Its terms describe the service as primarily intended for adults and let under-18s use it only with a legal guardian’s consent — unlike Claude, where Anthropic’s terms require every account holder to be at least 18. In our workshops we use it alongside ChatGPT and Gemini so you can compare how each handles the same task.
Every workshop ends with something you made yourself — a project, tool or site you keep.
