Sec 1 G2 (formerly Normal Academic) English tuition at Ancourage Academy in Singapore (Bishan & Woodlands) offers focused classes capped at 6 students. Under Full Subject-Based Banding (Full SBB), G2 English focuses on building reading confidence, structured writing, and oral communication skills. Our ESB methodology scaffolds learning so students develop fluency and expression at their own pace, with clear pathways to level up to G3 when ready.

Yes. Schools assess students regularly, and those achieving 75% or higher in the subject (a commonly published threshold — each school sets its own criteria) may be offered a level-up to G3. Our tuition builds the skills and confidence needed for this transition.

G2 students can progress to polytechnic, ITE, or level up to G3 subjects for O-Level preparation. Strong results in English support diverse post-secondary pathways, including JC (via G3 level-up). Our Sec 1 G2 English tuition is available at our Bishan centre (10 min from Bishan MRT, Circle and North-South Lines) and Woodlands centre (5 min from Woodlands South MRT, Thomson-East Coast Line). Students from Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary, Catholic High Secondary, Raffles Institution in Bishan, and Woodgrove Secondary, Christ Church Secondary, Woodlands Secondary in Woodlands, attend our classes.
Our small-group classes are intentionally kept between 3 and 6 students so every learner receives close guidance, timely feedback, and ample practice.
Each lesson is 2 hours, providing ample time for thorough coverage of topics and interactive learning.
Yes. All lesson materials and worksheets are provided and included in the fees. Students should bring regular stationery and, where applicable, school textbooks/workbooks for reference.
Yes. Our materials and pacing align with the MOE syllabus. External syllabuses (e.g. IGCSE, IB) are available upon request.
