P2 Maths Tuition

P2 is when multiplication tables must be mastered — this forms the foundation for all upper primary mathematics. Students who struggle with times tables in P2 often face compounding difficulties in P3-P6. We ensure thorough mastery through systematic practice and engaging methods. We teach students to identify keywords, understand what the question is asking, and select the right operation. Using visual aids and step-by-step approaches, we build confidence in tackling multi-step problems that become more common from P2 onwards.

By the end of P2, children should have mastered times tables (2, 3, 4, 5, 10) with automatic recall, understand regrouping in addition and subtraction, grasp halves and quarters in fractions, solve two-step word problems, and read and interpret simple data. Our Primary 2 Mathematics students come from schools across two catchment areas: Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary, Catholic High Primary, Ai Tong School near our Bishan centre, and Woodlands Primary, Admiralty Primary, Greenwood Primary, Innova Primary near our Woodlands centre. Our small-group classes are intentionally kept between 3 and 6 students so every learner receives close guidance, timely feedback, and ample practice.

Each lesson is 1.5 hours, providing ample time for thorough coverage of topics and interactive learning.

Yes. All lesson materials and worksheets are provided and included in the fees. Students should bring regular stationery and, where applicable, school textbooks/workbooks for reference.

Yes. Our materials and pacing align with the MOE syllabus. External syllabuses (e.g. IGCSE, IB) are available upon request.
