What Makes Us Different
Our proven teaching methodology combines evidence-based approaches for maximum learning effectiveness
Ebbinghaus Memory Theory
Student-led revision schedules for literature texts, essay frameworks, and language analysis — spacing rereads and timed practice across the term so textual evidence and analytical vocabulary surface effortlessly under exam conditions.
Socratic Questioning
Dialectic close-reading discussions — 'What assumptions underpin this argument?' and 'How would a different context change this interpretation?' — developing the evaluative rigour needed for A-Level and university-level literary analysis.
Bruner's Scaffolding
Minimal intervention during essay planning and drafting — tutors observe, then offer targeted feedback on structure and argumentation only after the student has committed to a position — fostering independent critical voice.

Key Transition
Upper secondary Sec 4 Literature demands independent critical voice — students must move beyond guided analysis to form and defend their own interpretations.
“Humanities at the upper secondary level — whether Geography, History, or Social Studies — require students to construct arguments, evaluate sources, and write under time pressure. We teach the frameworks and essay structures that consistently earn high marks in both the SEQ and SRQ components.”
